Sterisol
Sterisol´s vision is to be recognised as a role model throughout Europe, for skin care and hygiene products in the workplace and public environment.
In addition, Sterisol's ambition is to be a well known brand for quality skin care products in the consumer market. With this in mind, Sterisol´s mission is to remove all preservatives and other unnecessary additives across their entire range of skincare and hygiene products.
Sterisol develops, manufactures and markets unique preservative-free products for skin and hand sterilisation for use in the workplace and public places. They also seek to do the same for private individuals for whom high standards of hygiene is important. Their overall ambition is to provide economic products which are of high quality and environmentally responsible.
The Sterisol headquarters and factory are in Vadstena and manufacturing is done under strict health controls in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). The operations are also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. Sterisol's products are marketed in some 25 countries worldwide through distributors in Finland and Denmark, as well as through its own companies Oy Suomen Sterisol and Sterisol Denmark A / S.
MAGU´s work with Sterisol
In 2005 Sterisol decided to enter the consumer market with a range of personal care products based upon their "New Deal" concept.
Maskinbyggarna was hired to produce a sophisticated
custom-made filling line and appointed MAGU as supplier of
electrical cabinets, PLC & HMI systems.
MAGU were totally responsible for all technical control elements required to bring the plant up to full running order.
A recipe management system was collaboratively developed between Sterisol / Maskinbyggarna & MAGU.
This project marked the beginning of a long, ongoing collaboration between the companies.
In 2008 a fill line for the 2.5 kg & 5kgs bags in the ATEX environment was built and in 2009 a entire, new filling line containing input station, filling station, capping machine, labeling machine & box packer was built. This site is also intended for operation in the ATEX environment, and is equipped for rapid and accurate filling of bottles ranging from 25ml up to 5kg cans.
During 2010 - 2011 the lines have gradually been further developed with the latest available solutions, including servo drives for more precise positioning.
